【ご参考】アジアゾウの結核

タイやネパールを始めとした東南アジア諸国では，ゾウは特別な動物です。

国の財産として管理され，農業，土木作業，観光などの分野でヒトを助けるなくてはならない存在です。

ヒト社会と密接に関わる動物だけに，結核に罹患するケースが多発してきました。

発症すると肺炎から全身性に播種する激甚な病態をたどり，発見が遅れると死に至ります。

この深刻な問題に対して10年以上前から研究が進められ，予防法や検査法，治療法の進歩には目覚ましいものがあります。

多くの動物が感受性をもっ結核菌です。

私たちにもきっと参考になる講演と，いまから期待しています。
